Lev Durov

Lev Konstantinovich Durov (December 23, 1931 – August 20, 2015) was a Soviet and Russian actor and theatre director. He was a People's Artist of the USSR (1990).

Durov was born in Moscow into a family with a long history in the circus. His acting career began in the 1950s, and he became a prominent figure in both theatre and cinema. He joined the Central Children's Theatre in 1954, later moving to the Lenkom Theatre and then to the Malaya Bronnaya Theatre, where he also served as a director.

Durov appeared in numerous films, portraying a wide range of characters. Some of his notable film roles include appearances in "Seventeen Moments of Spring," "Don't Grieve," and "Striped Trip." He was known for his versatility and ability to bring depth and nuance to his performances.

Throughout his career, Durov received several awards and honors for his contributions to the arts, including the Order of Merit for the Fatherland. He died in Moscow in 2015 and is remembered as one of Russia's most beloved actors.
