Zero Hour (2013 TV series)
Zero Hour is an American conspiracy thriller television series that aired on ABC from February 14, 2013, to March 28, 2013. Created by Paul Scheuring, the series starred Anthony Edwards as Hank Galliston, the editor of a skeptical paranormal magazine who is thrust into a global conspiracy after his wife is kidnapped.
The plot revolves around an antique clock linked to a mysterious map, Nazi secrets hidden in the Arctic, and a religious conspiracy spanning centuries. Galliston teams up with FBI agent Beck Riley (Carmen Ejogo) and his magazine colleagues to uncover the truth behind his wife's disappearance and the larger forces at play. The series features elements of action, adventure, and historical fiction.
"Zero Hour" faced low ratings and was quickly cancelled by ABC after only three episodes aired. However, the remaining ten episodes were later made available online. While the show garnered attention for its complex and ambitious storyline, it was criticized by some for its convoluted plot and lack of clarity. Despite its short run, "Zero Hour" remains a notable example of a high-concept conspiracy thriller on network television.
