Yaya (river)

The Yaya is a river located in southwestern Siberia, Russia. It is a left tributary of the Chulym River, which itself is a tributary of the Ob River. The Yaya flows through the Kemerovo Oblast and the Tomsk Oblast.

The river is primarily fed by snowmelt and rainfall. It is typically frozen over from late October or early November until late April or early May. The Yaya is used for timber floating and fishing.

The Yaya River lends its name to several settlements along its banks, including the urban-type settlement of Yaya in the Kemerovo Oblast.
