Wooper
Wooper is a Water/Ground type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is known as the Water Fish Pokémon.
Biology:
Wooper is a small, amphibian-like Pokémon with a light blue body. It has a dark blue underside, two prominent gills on either side of its head, and a wide mouth. It also possesses small, beady eyes and a short tail. Wooper are typically found in or near bodies of water. While primarily aquatic, they can survive on land by coating their bodies with a slimy, poisonous film. This film allows them to retain moisture and deter predators.
Behavior:
Wooper are generally docile and playful Pokémon. They are often seen swimming or waddling around in shallow water. They are known to be somewhat clumsy and are not particularly adept at moving on land. They absorb nutrients through the feathery gills on their head.
Evolution:
Wooper evolves into Quagsire starting at level 20. In the Paldea region, Wooper has a regional variant called Paldean Wooper, which is a Poison/Ground type and evolves into Clodsire starting at level 20.
In the Pokémon World:
Wooper are a relatively common Pokémon and can be found in various regions. They are often kept as pets due to their gentle nature and easy care. They are also sometimes used in training exercises for novice Pokémon trainers.
