William Hall (cricketer, born 1878)
William Hall (born 24 September 1878, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire between 1902 and 1907.
Hall was born in Heanor, Derbyshire. He debuted for Derbyshire in the 1902 season against Warwickshire, taking a wicket in the first innings. Hall played eight matches in the 1902 season, taking a total of 14 wickets at an average of 32.14. He appeared in six matches in the 1903 season, taking 11 wickets. He then played two matches in the 1904 season. He returned for a single match in the 1906 season and another in the 1907 season.
Hall was a right-arm medium-fast bowler and took 27 first-class wickets at an average of 30.70, with a best performance of 5 for 53. He was a right-handed batsman and played 20 innings in 18 first-class matches with a top score of 24 and an average of 7.70.
