William Barrow (priest)
William Barrow (1754-1836) was an English clergyman and academic. He was a prebendary of Southwell and a fellow of the Royal Society.
Barrow was born in 1754. He was educated at Christ's College, Cambridge, where he graduated BA in 1777, MA in 1780, and DD in 1797. He became a fellow of the college in 1779.
He was appointed prebendary of Southwell Minster in 1792, a position he held until his death. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society on 19 January 1797.
Barrow's published works included sermons and academic treatises. He is remembered as a learned and respected figure in the Church of England. He died in 1836.
