Widnes and Halewood (UK Parliament constituency)

Widnes and Halewood was a parliamentary constituency in the United Kingdom. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons using the first-past-the-post voting system. The constituency existed from 1983 to 1997.

The constituency was created in 1983 from parts of the former constituencies of Widnes and Huyton. It covered the towns of Widnes and Halewood, which are located in Cheshire and Merseyside respectively.

In 1997, the constituency was abolished. The area of Widnes was transferred to the newly created Halton constituency, while Halewood became part of the Knowsley South constituency.
