Resolution (talent agency)

Resolution is a talent and literary agency based in Beverly Hills, California. It was founded in January 2013 by Jeff Berg, following his departure from International Creative Management (ICM). Berg aimed to create an agency focused on a more collaborative and entrepreneurial environment for its agents and clients.

Resolution represented a diverse range of clients across film, television, music, theatre, publishing, and digital media. Its formation attracted a significant number of high-profile agents and clients from other established agencies, including ICM and William Morris Endeavor (WME).

The agency sought to distinguish itself through innovative deal-making and a commitment to client service. It also explored opportunities in international markets and emerging digital platforms.

In 2014, just over a year after its launch, Resolution was acquired by the Chinese media conglomerate, Bona Film Group. This acquisition provided Resolution with significant financial backing and access to the rapidly growing Chinese entertainment market.

However, the partnership with Bona Film Group proved to be short-lived. In 2015, due to internal conflicts and disagreements regarding the agency's direction, Jeff Berg stepped down as chairman and Bona Film Group exited its investment.

Following Berg's departure and the termination of the Bona Film Group deal, Resolution effectively ceased operations. Many of its agents and clients subsequently moved to other agencies. The agency's brief but impactful existence marked a significant period of transition within the Hollywood talent agency landscape.
