Warhawk (1995 video game)
Warhawk is a 1995 third-person shooter video game developed by SingleTrac and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. It is a remake of the 1986 Atari arcade game of the same name.
The game puts the player in control of the Warhawk, a heavily armed transforming aircraft, and tasks them with defeating an enemy force across various terrain types. Gameplay involves flying and hovering to engage enemy vehicles, structures, and aircraft, while collecting power-ups to enhance the Warhawk's weapons and defenses. The Warhawk can transform between a flying jet and a hovering robot form, each suited for different combat situations.
Warhawk features a single-player campaign mode consisting of several levels, as well as a multiplayer mode allowing two players to compete against each other in split-screen battles. The game was known for its then-impressive 3D graphics and fast-paced action, contributing to its popularity in the early PlayStation era.
