Wąsosz
Wąsosz is a town in Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in southwestern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Wąsosz.
Wąsosz is located approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) southeast of Góra, and 72 kilometres (45 mi) northwest of the regional capital Wrocław.
Historically, the region belonged to Silesia. The first documented mention of Wąsosz dates back to 1217. It received town rights in 1253. Throughout history, Wąsosz experienced periods under Bohemian, Austrian, and Prussian rule, finally becoming part of Poland after World War II. The town has a rich architectural history, including a historic church and other notable buildings. Its economy is primarily based on agriculture and small businesses.
