William FitzGerald (Irish judge)

William FitzGerald (c. 1743 – 1813) was an Irish judge who served as a Baron of the Exchequer in Ireland.

FitzGerald was born in County Clare. He was called to the Irish Bar in 1767 and became a King's Counsel in 1787. He was appointed to the bench as a Baron of the Exchequer in 1793, a position he held until his death.

He was a Member of Parliament for Ennis from 1776 to 1783.

FitzGerald was married twice. His first wife was the daughter of Reverend Henry Bindon. His second wife was Jane Burton.

His legal career coincided with a turbulent period in Irish history, including the lead-up to and aftermath of the 1798 rebellion. Records suggest he was a competent and respected, though not particularly prominent, judge.
