Vishnuvardhan (director)

Vishnuvardhan Kulasekaran, often credited as Vishnuvardhan, is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer, primarily working in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He is known for his stylish action thrillers and visual storytelling.

Vishnuvardhan began his career as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam before making his directorial debut with the Tamil film Kurumbu (2003). He gained significant recognition with his subsequent films, including Arinthum Ariyamalum (2005), Pattiyal (2006), Billa (2007), and Panjaa (2011). His film Billa, a remake of the Rajinikanth starrer of the same name, was a major commercial success and further cemented his position as a leading director.

Vishnuvardhan's works are often characterized by their slick cinematography, fast-paced editing, and strong performances from the cast. He frequently collaborates with music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has composed scores for several of his films. He has also directed films in Telugu, showcasing his versatility across different South Indian film industries.
