VietNam (band)

VietNam was an American rock band active in the mid-2000s. They were known for their raw, energetic live performances and a sound that blended elements of garage rock, punk, and blues.

The band's lineup consisted of Michael Gerner (vocals, guitar), Josh Hyman (guitar), Blake Rainey (bass), and Michael Carter (drums). They formed in New York City and quickly gained a following in the local music scene.

VietNam released several EPs and one full-length album, entitled Vietnam, in 2007 on Kemado Records. The album received critical acclaim for its intensity and gritty songwriting.

Despite the positive reception of their music, VietNam disbanded in 2008. Members have since pursued other musical projects. The band's brief but impactful career has earned them a cult following among fans of independent rock.
