Vic Sears
Vic Sears (born Victor Sears, date unknown; died date unknown) was an American professional wrestler prominent from the 1950s through the 1970s. He was best known for his tag team partnership with Stan Stasiak, forming the successful heel (villainous) tag team, "The Bruiser Brothers," primarily in the Pacific Northwest and Vancouver, British Columbia wrestling territories.
Sears’ wrestling style was generally considered aggressive and physical, typical of the era's heel wrestlers. He was known for his brawling style and his ability to generate heat from the audience. While details of his early career are scarce, his pairing with Stasiak proved to be a significant turning point, establishing him as a recognized name within regional wrestling circuits.
The Bruiser Brothers, managed at times by notable wrestling personalities, held multiple tag team championships in various territories. Their matches were often characterized by no-disqualification stipulations and intense confrontations with popular babyface (heroic) teams. Sears' role within the tag team typically involved utilizing underhanded tactics and brute strength to gain an advantage.
Following the dissolution of the Bruiser Brothers, Sears continued to wrestle as a singles competitor and occasionally formed other tag team partnerships. While never achieving the same level of prominence as his time with Stasiak, he remained a recognizable figure in regional professional wrestling for several years. Details regarding his life outside of wrestling are limited.
