Boundaries
The constituency covers the majority of the Vale of Glamorgan local authority area, excluding the areas of Penarth and Dinas Powys, which are included in the Cardiff South and Penarth constituency. It includes towns such as Barry, Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, and Rhoose.
History
The Vale of Glamorgan constituency was created for the first Senedd election in 1999, with the same boundaries as the former Vale of Glamorgan Westminster constituency.
