VMA-141

VMA-141, officially designated Marine Attack Squadron 141, was a United States Marine Corps A-4 Skyhawk attack squadron. The squadron was part of the Marine Forces Reserve. It was activated in 1952 during the Korean War and was deactivated several times throughout its history, its final deactivation occurring in 1996.

The squadron's primary mission was to provide close air support to Marine ground forces. VMA-141 operated from various locations throughout its lifespan, participating in training exercises and deployments in support of Marine Corps objectives. The squadron transitioned to different models of the A-4 Skyhawk during its service, improving its capabilities over time.

VMA-141 never saw combat action in a declared war. Following its final deactivation, the squadron's aircraft and personnel were reassigned to other units within the Marine Corps Reserve. The squadron's lineage and honors have been retired.
