Usora (river)

The Usora is a river in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a right tributary of the Bosna river. It flows through the northern part of the country, originating in the mountainous region south of Teslić and flowing generally northward before joining the Bosna near Doboj. The river's length is approximately 80 kilometers. The Usora valley is a historically and geographically significant area, often referred to as the Usora region, known for its agricultural land and connection between the central Bosnian highlands and the Pannonian Plain. The settlements along its banks are primarily agricultural, with some small industrial centers developed in more recent times. The river itself has played a role in the region's economy, historically used for milling and irrigation.
