Ub (river)
Ub is a river located in western Serbia. It is a tributary of the Tamnava river, itself a tributary of the Kolubara. The Ub is approximately 58 kilometers long.
The Ub river flows through the municipality of Ub, for which the town and the municipality are named. The river's drainage basin is relatively small and primarily agricultural. It is known for experiencing fluctuations in water level depending on seasonal rainfall and snowmelt.
The river has historically been used for irrigation and watering livestock in the surrounding agricultural areas. Like many rivers in Serbia, it faces challenges related to pollution from agricultural runoff and untreated wastewater. Local authorities have undertaken some measures to address these environmental concerns and improve water quality.
