USS Patriot (PYc-47)

The USS Patriot (PYc-47) was a United States Navy patrol yacht in commission from 1941 to 1947. Built as the civilian yacht Pleasure in 1930, she was acquired by the Navy and converted for naval service. As a patrol yacht, the Patriot was armed and used primarily for coastal patrol and escort duties during World War II. She served primarily in the Caribbean Sea and along the U.S. East Coast. Following the war, she was decommissioned and sold back into private hands.
