USS Charr
The USS Charr refers to two submarines of the United States Navy, both named after the charr, a type of fish in the salmon family.

USS Charr (SS-328): A Balao-class submarine, commissioned in 1944. She served in the Pacific Theater during World War II, conducting several war patrols and earning multiple battle stars. After the war, she remained in service, participating in various exercises and operations until she was decommissioned in 1969.

USS Charr (SSN-596): A Permit-class (later reclassified as Sturgeon-class) nuclear-powered attack submarine, commissioned in 1960. She served throughout the Cold War, conducting numerous patrols and participating in various exercises and operations. She was decommissioned in 1991.
