USS Brunswick (ATS-3)

USS Brunswick (ATS-3) was a Bolster-class rescue and salvage ship of the United States Navy. She was named after Brunswick, Georgia.

Brunswick was laid down on 29 April 1968 by the Brooke Marine Limited, Lowestoft, England; launched on 14 April 1969; and commissioned on 24 July 1971.

Brunswick's primary mission was to provide rescue and salvage services to fleet units in coastal waters and on the high seas. Her capabilities included towing disabled ships, firefighting, diving and underwater salvage operations, and providing limited repair services.

During her service, Brunswick participated in various operations and exercises around the world, supporting the U.S. Navy's mission of maintaining maritime security and assisting distressed vessels.

Brunswick was decommissioned on 30 September 1996 and struck from the Naval Vessel Register on 13 March 1998. She was sold for scrapping on 25 February 2000.
