Typhoon Percy (1990)

Typhoon Percy, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Asiang, was a powerful tropical cyclone that impacted the Philippines and Hong Kong in August 1990. It reached typhoon status on August 12th and intensified rapidly, eventually becoming a super typhoon. Percy brought significant rainfall and strong winds to the affected areas, causing widespread flooding, landslides, and damage to infrastructure and agriculture. Several deaths were attributed to the typhoon. The exact number of fatalities and the total extent of damage varied depending on the source and post-storm assessments.
