Trust (rock band)

Trust was a French hard rock band formed in 1977. They are considered pioneers of the French hard rock scene and are known for their politically charged lyrics and aggressive sound. The band's initial lineup consisted of Bernie Bonvoisin (vocals), Norbert "Nono" Krief (guitar), Raymond Manna (bass), and Jean-Émile Hanela (drums).

Trust achieved significant success in France in the late 1970s and early 1980s with albums like Repression (1980) and Marche ou Crève (1981). Their music often tackled themes of social injustice, political corruption, and rebellion. The band's popularity extended beyond France, and they toured internationally, including supporting Iron Maiden on their 1981 "Killers" tour.

Over the years, Trust experienced several lineup changes and periods of inactivity. Despite these challenges, the band has reunited on multiple occasions and continued to release new music and perform live. Their influence on French rock music remains significant, and they are remembered for their powerful performances and socially conscious lyrics. One of their best-known songs is "Antisocial," which was famously covered by the thrash metal band Anthrax. The band continues to be an important part of French rock history.
