Tripoli (film)
Tripoli is a 1950 American adventure film directed by Will Price and starring Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, and Philip Reed. Set during the First Barbary War, the film tells a fictionalized story of United States Marines battling against the Pasha of Tripoli. The plot revolves around a U.S. Marine officer who, with the help of a mysterious countess, attempts to rescue captured Americans held in Tripoli. The film's title references the Battle of Derna and the famous line "to the shores of Tripoli" from the Marines' Hymn.
