Tomu Muto

Tomu Muto (武藤 十夢, Mutō Tomu, born November 25, 1994) is a Japanese television personality, meteorologist, and former idol. She is best known as a former member of the Japanese idol group AKB48.

Muto passed AKB48's 13th generation auditions in 2011 and was promoted to Team B in 2012. She later became a concurrent member of SKE48's Team E for a period. Throughout her AKB48 career, she participated in numerous singles and stage performances, establishing a significant fanbase.

Beyond her idol activities, Muto pursued academic interests, graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University. She subsequently obtained a master's degree in atmospheric science from the same university, demonstrating a strong interest in meteorology. This academic pursuit led to her obtaining a weather forecaster license in Japan.

Since graduating from AKB48 in April 2023, Muto has focused on her career as a television personality and meteorologist, appearing on various weather programs and showcasing her expertise in weather forecasting and related topics. She utilizes her platform to educate the public about weather phenomena and disaster preparedness.
