Tian Ye (footballer, born 1978)
Tian Ye (Chinese: 田野; born July 11, 1978) is a retired Chinese professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
Career
Tian Ye began his football career playing for Dalian Shide's youth team before being promoted to their senior team in 1998. He quickly established himself within the team and was a squad member for their league winning seasons in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2005 as well as the 2001 and 2005 Chinese FA Cup. Throughout his time at Dalian he would often be used as a squad player and in 2006 he would transfer to second tier side Xiamen Lanshi. He would become a vital member of the team and help guide them to promotion to the Chinese Super League at the end of the 2007 season. At the beginning of the 2008 season Xiamen were unfortunately relegated due to match-fixing allegations and Tian Ye would move to Chengdu Blades where he stayed until his retirement.
