Thuggin' (EP)

Thuggin' is an extended play (EP) by American hip hop duo MadGibbs, consisting of rapper Freddie Gibbs and record producer Madlib. It was released on November 21, 2011, by Decon Records. The EP served as a precursor to their critically acclaimed collaborative albums, Piñata (2014) and Bandana (2019). Thuggin' features gritty, raw production from Madlib and lyrical content focused on street life and gangsta rap themes from Freddie Gibbs. The EP helped to solidify the duo's reputation for blending hardcore rap with experimental beats. It contains several tracks that would later appear on Piñata.
