The Tiger's Apprentice (film)
The Tiger's Apprentice is a 2024 American animated fantasy action film directed by Raman Hui and co-directed by Paul Watling and Yong Duk Jhun. It is based on the 2003 young adult novel of the same name by Laurence Yep. The film stars the voices of Brandon Soo Hoo, Henry Golding, Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh, Michelle Yeoh, Bowen Yang, Jo Koy, Greta Lee, Diana Lee Inosanto, and Leah Lewis.
The film follows the story of a Chinese-American boy in San Francisco named Henry, who discovers he is part of a long line of guardians protected by a phoenix. After his grandmother is attacked, Henry is unexpectedly recruited as the apprentice of a talking tiger named Mr. Hu, who trains him in martial arts and ancient magic to protect a powerful, mythical egg from falling into the wrong hands. He joins a ragtag group of anthropomorphic animals, each with their own special skills, in a quest to save the world.
