The Shocker (band)

The Shocker was an American rock band formed in 1998 in Los Angeles, California. They are best known for their energetic live performances and blending elements of hard rock, punk rock, and alternative rock. The band consisted of founding members Matt Caughthran (vocals), Robert Ellis (guitar), and various drummers and bassists throughout their career.

The Shocker released several EPs and albums, including "Up Against It" (2000) and "The Shocker" (2002). They toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, building a dedicated fanbase. While they never achieved mainstream commercial success, they were a notable presence in the Los Angeles rock scene during the early 2000s. The band eventually disbanded in the mid-2000s, with members pursuing other musical projects. Matt Caughthran later formed the punk band The Bronx.
