Maynooth

Maynooth is a town in County Kildare, Ireland, approximately 24 kilometers (15 miles) west of Dublin. It is best known as the location of St Patrick's College, Maynooth, Ireland's national seminary and a pontifical university.

History:

The name Maynooth derives from the Irish Maigh Nuad, meaning "plain of Nuadha," referring to a mythological figure.
