Droid 2

The Droid 2 is a smartphone manufactured by Motorola and released by Verizon Wireless in August 2010. It is the successor to the original Droid. The Droid 2 featured a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, and a faster processor compared to its predecessor. It initially launched with Android 2.2 (Froyo) and was later updated to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Key improvements over the original Droid included a faster processor (1 GHz), more RAM, and an improved physical keyboard. The Droid 2 was marketed as a high-performance device geared towards users who preferred physical keyboards for typing. While well-received initially, its lifecycle was relatively short as newer models with improved specifications were released soon after.
