The Novas

The Novas were a Canadian professional wrestling tag team active primarily in the late 1990s and early 2000s, best known for their appearances in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). The team consisted of "Super Nova" Mike Bucci (later known as Simon Diamond in ECW and Altar Boy Luke in TNA) and Chris Chetti.

The Novas were a popular mid-card act in ECW, often involved in fast-paced, high-flying matches. They were known for their teamwork and innovative maneuvers. While they never captured the ECW World Tag Team Championship, they were consistently featured in the tag team division and were a credible threat to the reigning champions.

Their time in ECW saw them feud with other prominent tag teams such as the Dudley Boyz, the Full Blooded Italians (FBI), and Danny Doring and Roadkill. Super Nova's singles career also saw moderate success during this period.

Following the demise of ECW in 2001, both members of The Novas pursued individual careers in wrestling, with Mike Bucci achieving greater mainstream recognition. Chris Chetti remained primarily on the independent circuit. Despite their separation, The Novas are remembered as a fondly regarded tag team from ECW's later years.
