The New Adventures of Superman (TV series)

The New Adventures of Superman, also known as Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, is an American superhero television series based on the DC Comics character Superman. It aired on ABC from September 12, 1993, to June 14, 1997, for a total of four seasons.

The series focused on the relationship between Clark Kent/Superman, played by Dean Cain, and Lois Lane, played by Teri Hatcher. Unlike previous Superman adaptations, Lois & Clark emphasized the romantic tension and development of their relationship alongside Superman's heroic exploits. The show presented a more modern and updated portrayal of the Superman mythos, often incorporating elements of humor and contemporary issues.

Key characters included Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, played by Lane Smith; Jonathan and Martha Kent, Clark's adoptive parents, played by Eddie Jones and K Callan; and recurring villains such as Lex Luthor, played by John Shea.

The series followed a largely episodic format, with each episode typically featuring a new threat to Metropolis alongside the ongoing development of Clark and Lois's relationship.
