The Losers (TV series)

The Losers was an American action-adventure television pilot developed for Fox in 2011 but ultimately not picked up for a full series. Based on the Vertigo Comics comic book series of the same name, The Losers follows a black ops team framed for a crime they didn't commit.

The pilot was written by Peter Berg and James Vanderbilt and directed by Sylvain White. The cast included Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, and Óscar Jaenada, many of whom had played roles in the 2010 film adaptation of the comic.

The premise of the television series was intended to further explore the individual backstories of the team members and their efforts to clear their names while uncovering the conspiracy against them. Reviews of the pilot were generally positive, praising the action sequences and cast performances. However, Fox decided not to order the show to series, citing scheduling conflicts and concerns about its long-term viability.
