Rivallo

Rivallo was, according to Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae, the ninth king of the Britons. He reigned after Cunedagius and was succeeded by Gormodius. Monmouth provides little information about Rivallo other than noting that he was a "just man" and that peace reigned throughout his reign. He is said to have discovered that the land could be plowed to produce grain after a prolonged period of pestilence. The Historia Regum Britanniae is considered a largely fictional account and Rivallo's historical existence is highly dubious. He is largely absent from other historical and pseudo-historical accounts of early British kings.
