The Devil's Rain (album)

The Devil's Rain is the ninth studio album by the American horror punk band Misfits. It was released on October 4, 2011, through Misfit Records. This was the only Misfits album to feature the lineup of Jerry Only (bass/vocals), Dez Cadena (guitar), and Eric "Chupacabra" Arce (drums).

The album's title is derived from a 1975 horror film of the same name, a film known for its occult themes and devil worship. The album's artwork and lyrical content similarly draw heavily from horror themes, a long-standing tradition for the Misfits.

The Devil's Rain marked a continuation of the Misfits' sound under Jerry Only's leadership, characterized by a blend of punk rock energy and horror-inspired lyrics. It followed their previous album, Project 1950, and received mixed reviews upon release. Some critics praised the album's energy and adherence to the Misfits' classic horror punk style, while others criticized its songwriting and perceived lack of originality compared to the band's earlier work featuring Glenn Danzig.

The album produced several singles, including the title track "The Devil's Rain," which received music video treatment. The band toured extensively in support of the album's release.
