The Beloved Vagabond (1923 film)
The Beloved Vagabond is a 1923 British silent romantic drama film directed by Fred Goodwins and starring Carlyle Blackwell, Glenice Halliday, and Phyllis Titmuss. It is based on the 1906 novel of the same name by William John Locke. The film tells the story of Gaston de Nerac, an architect who abandons his life after being jilted by his lover. He adopts the persona of a wandering artist, traveling through France and living a bohemian lifestyle. He befriends a young girl, Blanquette, and becomes her guardian. His past eventually catches up to him, forcing him to confront his former lover and make a decision about his future.
