The Audition (band)

The Audition was an American pop punk band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 2003. The band consisted of Danny Stevens (vocals, guitar), Tim Klepek (guitar), Joe Lussa (bass), and Seth Johnson (drums).

The Audition gained popularity in the mid-2000s through extensive touring and online promotion on platforms like MySpace. They were known for their energetic live performances and catchy, anthemic songs characterized by strong melodies and pop sensibilities within a punk rock framework.

The band released several albums, including "Contagious" (2005) on Victory Records, "Champion" (2006) on Victory Records, "Self Titled" (2009) on Victory Records, and "Great Danger" (2010) independently.

Following the release of "Great Danger," The Audition went on indefinite hiatus. Members have since pursued other musical projects. Danny Stevens has continued to be involved in music, notably with the band The Bonfires.

While never achieving mainstream commercial success, The Audition cultivated a dedicated fanbase within the pop punk scene and contributed to the genre's landscape during their active years. Their music remains accessible through various online streaming services.
