Teylan

Teylan is a fictional character appearing in the science fiction television series Stargate Atlantis. He is a Genii, a human civilization living on a planet in the Pegasus galaxy. Teylan is a member of the Genii military and often serves as a trusted lieutenant to Cowen, the leader of the Genii. He is portrayed as intelligent, resourceful, and fiercely loyal to his people. Teylan's motivations often revolve around acquiring advanced technology, particularly from the Ancient technology left behind in Atlantis, to further the Genii's ambitions for power and security in the Pegasus galaxy. His interactions with the Atlantis expedition are usually adversarial, marked by suspicion and strategic maneuvering, although occasional alliances of convenience can arise when facing a common enemy, such as the Wraith. He is a significant secondary antagonist in the early seasons of the series.
