Teriberka (river)

The Teriberka River is a river located in the Murmansk Oblast, in northwestern Russia, on the Kola Peninsula. It flows into the Barents Sea.

The river is approximately 127 kilometers (79 miles) long and has a drainage basin of 1,770 square kilometers (680 square miles). It is formed by the confluence of the rivers Vulyavriok and Lagarvuyok, which originate in the Lovozero Tundra. The Teriberka River flows generally north, passing through several lakes including the Verkhneteriberskoye Reservoir and the Nizhneteriberskoye Reservoir.

The area surrounding the Teriberka River is sparsely populated. The settlement of Teriberka is located near the mouth of the river, on the coast of the Barents Sea. The river is known for its salmon fishing and the surrounding landscape is characterized by tundra vegetation and rocky terrain. The river and its surroundings have gained popularity in recent years due to increasing tourism in the region.
