Ted Purdy

Ted Purdy (born January 9, 1973) is an American professional golfer.

Purdy was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended the University of Arizona, where he played collegiate golf.

Purdy turned professional in 1999. He has played primarily on the Nationwide Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) and the PGA Tour. His most notable achievement is winning the 2005 EDS Byron Nelson Championship on the PGA Tour. He defeated Sean Micheel in a playoff to secure the victory.

Purdy has had limited success since his 2005 victory, struggling with injuries and maintaining PGA Tour status. He has continued to compete in professional golf events.
