Steve King (baseball)
Steve King (born May 25, 1943) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He played for the Chicago White Sox (1966-1967, 1972), the Washington Senators (1969), and the Milwaukee Brewers (1970-1971).
King was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 12th round of the 1965 MLB draft. He made his major league debut on September 14, 1966. Primarily a relief pitcher throughout his career, King appeared in 168 games, pitching 308 innings. His career record was 10 wins and 19 losses with an earned run average of 3.83. He recorded 18 saves.
King's best season was arguably 1970 with the Milwaukee Brewers, where he appeared in 45 games and posted a 2.73 ERA. He retired from professional baseball after the 1972 season.
