TW Classic

TW Classic is a personal wiki software program originally created by Jeremy Ruston and now maintained by various contributors. It is a non-linear notebook for capturing, organizing and sharing complex information. TW Classic operates within a single HTML file, allowing for portability and self-containment. This single-file format includes both the wiki's content and the application's logic, primarily written in JavaScript. Unlike server-based wikis, TW Classic stores all data client-side, making it suitable for offline use. Users can save changes directly back to the HTML file, although browser security restrictions sometimes require workarounds or plugins for saving, especially on modern browsers. TW Classic is considered the predecessor to TiddlyWiki, which is a significantly more advanced and actively developed fork.
