Style (band)

Style was a Swedish pop band active from 1983 to 1989, and again from 2003 to 2006, achieving considerable popularity in Scandinavia. The group's most prominent members were Tommy Ekman, Christer Sandelin, and Gigi Hamilton.

Style is primarily known for their participation in Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. They competed several times, achieving their best result in 1986 with the song "Dover Calais", which finished third. Other notable entries include "Fantasi" (1983) and "Hand i hand" (1987).

The band's music typically featured catchy melodies, synth-pop arrangements, and romantic lyrics, characteristic of the 1980s pop music scene. Their albums and singles enjoyed success in Sweden and other Nordic countries.

After disbanding in 1989, the members pursued solo careers. Style reunited in 2003, releasing new music and touring before disbanding again in 2006. The individual members have occasionally reunited for special performances since then.
