Roaring Rapids is a river rapids ride found at Shanghai Disneyland. Part of Adventure Isle, this attraction plunges guests through a turbulent river environment themed around the mythology of the Roaring Mountain, a sacred mountain home to a giant, ancient reptile.

Description: The ride utilizes large, circular rafts seating approximately nine guests each. These rafts are propelled along a winding artificial river featuring varying degrees of rapids, waterfalls, and vortexes. The narrative element of the ride focuses on the wrath of Q'aráq, the water spirit who resides within Roaring Mountain, and the disruptions caused by human intrusion. Guests encounter animatronic figures and special effects designed to enhance the immersive experience. A significant feature of Roaring Rapids is a large drop near the ride's conclusion.

History: Roaring Rapids opened alongside Shanghai Disneyland in June 2016. It was one of the park's headline attractions and remains a popular choice for guests.

Theming and Design: The ride’s theming heavily emphasizes the Adventure Isle land's overarching narrative of exploration and discovery.
