Rakity

Rakity (Russian: Ракиты) is a rural locality (a selo) in Mikhaylovsky District, Altai Krai, Russia. It is the administrative center of Rakitovsky Selsoviet, which comprises three rural localities: Rakity, Chemnovka, and Krasny Oktyabr.

The village is located in the south of the West Siberian Plain, in a forest-steppe zone, on the left bank of the Aley River, approximately 28 kilometers (17 mi) southwest of Mikhaylovskoye, the district's administrative center.

The climate in Rakity is classified as humid continental, characterized by cold, snowy winters and warm summers. The area experiences significant temperature variations throughout the year.

The population of Rakity was approximately 1,080 as of 2013.
