HMS R8
HMS R8 was a British H-class submarine built by Vickers, Barrow-in-Furness. Ordered on 23 June 1914, she was laid down on 1 October 1914 and launched on 22 November 1915. She was commissioned on 11 January 1916.
R8 was active during World War I, primarily operating in the North Sea and participating in anti-submarine patrols. Details of specific wartime actions are sparsely documented.
She was sold on 21 July 1921 to Cox and Danks.
