Stokke (village)

Stokke is a village and former municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located in the present-day municipality of Sandefjord, situated northwest of the city of Sandefjord itself.

Historically, Stokke was a separate municipality until January 1, 2017, when it merged with Andebu and Sandefjord to form the larger Sandefjord municipality. The village of Stokke served as the administrative center of the former Stokke municipality.

The village is primarily a residential area with some commercial activity. Agriculture has historically been an important industry in the area. Stokke is known for its relatively flat terrain and fertile soil, suitable for farming.

The area also features some cultural and historical sites. Several churches are located within the former Stokke municipality, including the Stokke Church.

Transportation to and from Stokke is facilitated by road connections to Sandefjord and other nearby towns.
