Stearns (crater)
Stearns is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the north-northwest of the slightly larger crater Chadwick, and southeast of de Vries.
Stearns is a relatively well-formed crater with a sharp, defined rim that has undergone only minor erosion. The inner walls are terraced and slope down to a relatively flat interior floor. A small, rounded central peak is situated near the midpoint of the crater floor. A few tiny craterlets mark the interior, but are insignificant in size.
