Special Ops (Indian TV series)

Special Ops is an Indian Hindi-language action spy thriller web series created by Neeraj Pandey, who also directed it with Shivam Nair. The series premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on March 17, 2020.

The show revolves around Himmat Singh (played by Kay Kay Menon), a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officer, who believes that a single person is behind all the major terrorist attacks in India over the past few years. He and his team of specially trained agents, operating undercover across the globe, embark on a dangerous mission to track down and eliminate this mastermind. The narrative unfolds as a series of interconnected events, revealing a larger conspiracy at play.

The series features a large ensemble cast, including Karan Tacker, Meher Vij, Vipul Gupta, Sajjad Delafrooz, Muzamil Ibrahim, Sana Khan, Saiyami Kher, Divya Dutta, Vinay Pathak, and Sharad Kelkar.

Special Ops has received generally positive reviews, with praise directed towards its pacing, performances (particularly Kay Kay Menon's), and gripping storyline. A spin-off series, Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, focusing on Himmat Singh's backstory, was released in 2021.
